Pat Macken has served as the Director of Tennis at the Arbutus Club in Vancouver since 1986. For 40 years, he has coached all levels of tennis, from beginner to provincial teams. Pat is a Level 3 Tennis Canada certified coach who has a world doubles ranking and 10 national titles. He also coaches sports psychology. Pat and his wife Caroline have 6 children.

In this Bright and Cheerful Home session, Pat will present invaluable life lessons from his coaching career, including the positives and negatives of youth sports and high performance academies. To help parents navigate their choices in regards to their children’s sports, he will also tackle important topics such as pressure, competition, self-image, sportsmanship, respect, and many others.
